Dr. Swapna Helen John is a clinical microbiologist over 6.5 years of experience who specialises in the treatment of hospital-acquired infections and infectious disorders. She is the most accomplished microbiological resident of the KUHS batch of 2010-2013 to graduate (Kerala University of Health Sciences). She is the Hospital Infection Control Officer and is passionate about the Hospital Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. She has knowledge in a wide range of microbiology diagnostic procedures. She has contributed to the implementation of various infection control measures that have improved patient outcomes through her work. Several of her research works have appeared in various journals. She has also received extra training in hospital infections and infection control programmes from several institutions, including a Quality Council of India certificate in Medical Laboratory System and Internal Audit as per ISO 15189:2012.
