A migraine is typically an incapacitating, recurrent headache that arises on one side of the brain. You may have pulsing or throbbing in one area of your head, along with nausea, vomiting, and light or sound sensitivity. A tension headache is characterised by a mild, dull pressure without other symptoms. Cluster headaches can cause intense "stabbing" pain behind one eye and sinus congestion.

Although numerous genes, such as APOE, have been associated to Alzheimer's disease, genetic testing cannot predict whether an individual will get the condition.

The Department of Paediatric Neurology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of neurological disorders in children, including epilepsy, developmental delays, neurogenetic disorders, cerebral palsy, migraines, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
