Dr. Mohammed Noufal

Medical Gastroenterology

With more than 17 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Mohammed Noufal specializes in gastroenterology and interventional gastroenterology. He obtained his MBBS from PSG IMS & R, Coimbatore in 2006, and his MD in General Medicine from Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem in 2011. He went on to complete his DM in Medical Gastroenterology from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 2015, where he developed an interest in gastrointestinal diseases and the role of endoscopy in their treatment. He has completed specialized training in advanced therapeutic ERCP and interventional EUS and has undergone additional training in endoscopic surgical procedures like ESD and POEM under Professor Hu Bing at West China Hospital, Sichuan University, and Bariatric Endoscopic Training in Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) at AIG Hospital Hyderabad.
In his practice, Dr. Noufal focuses on the management of acute GI bleed with advanced techniques and has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and hepatological conditions. He also has a special interest in endoscopic treatment options for obesity like intragastric balloon placement and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG). Additionally, Dr. Noufal has published abstracts and research articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology and presented papers at prestigious annual conferences like the World Gastrology Summit.
