Dr. Nimish George Jacob

Medical Gastroenterology

Dr. Nimish George Jacob is a dedicated Medical Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic disorders. Currently serving as an Associate Consultant at Apollo Adlux Hospital, he brings a wealth of expertise from high-volume tertiary care centres, specialising in both luminal gastroenterology and advanced hepatology.

Dr. Nimish completed his undergraduate medical training (MBBS) at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, and obtained his MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Thrissur. He further specialised in DM Medical Gastroenterology at Government Kilpauk Medical College, where he received extensive training in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy, hepatology, pancreatobiliary disorders, and complex digestive diseases. His strong academic background and tertiary-care experience enable him to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centred gastroenterology care.

  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endoscopy: Upper GI Endoscopy (OGD) and Colonoscopy.
  • GI Bleed Management: Including EVL banding, polypectomy, and Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC).
  • Specialized Interventions: Foreign body removal, PEG insertion, and stricture dilatation (balloon/bougie).
  • Advanced Imaging & Functionality: SBE/DBE enteroscopy, esophageal and anorectal manometry, and Fibroscan.
  • Hepatology: Liver transplant workup and follow-up care.
  • Pancreaticobiliary Care: ERCP and therapeutic EUS procedures.
